Top 9 Best VR Fitness Games For A Mix Of Fun And Burn | VR Fitness

Tons of people wish there was a magic weight loss pill that would trick your body into dropping weight and leave you with that fresh summer body without all the pain. But here’s a secret; I’ve Found that Magic pill: Virtual Reality… These Are The Best VR Workout Games That Will Melt Your Fat Like Butter (Updated 2023)

I had a hard time finding the Best Fitness VR games because Nobody knows how to get fit in VR and how we can get fit while enjoying ourselves.

So I decided to take the matter into my hands and played all of the Fitness Games VR has to offer to find the ones that I can incorporate into my workout routine…

VR has combined fitness and entertainment to create a new way of getting fit. VR + Entertainment = Fit body and happy mind.

But before we move on, I know you might be thinking, “Bro, you should’ve searched on the internet, it would’ve saved so much of your time” and that’s the major reason I’m making this post.

Every website I visited and every video that I’ve watched contained games that add no real fitness value. Some even recommended Carve snowboarding as a fitness VR Game… Like, come on! VR isn’t just a toy now!

So, Out of All the fitness VR games here are the 9 Real & Best Fitness VR Games that have the most fitness value [2023]

How I made this list? Each game has to pass these 4 metrics:

  1. It should be fun! [of course, because our main goal is to get fit while having fun right?]
  2. Easy to pick up and play.
  3. Can be played anytime & anywhere [Boxing VR games are the exception]
  4. Fitness Value should be in our hands… Meaning The more you move the more you sweat the more you lose fat.

So now that’s out of our way, here are the Best Fitness VR Games, just don’t Forget To Grab Your Towel!!

***Mostly All Of These VR Games Are Available on all VR platforms***

9. Ragnarock

Ragnarock - Launch Trailer 2021
  • Developers: WanadevStudio
  • Genre: Casual, Music & Rhythm, Sports

So I want to start this list off with Ragnarock…

Ragnarok is a Viking-inspired rhythm game in which you play as a Viking captain and with your two hammers, you have to hit the incoming runes in sync with the epic Viking music.

Now, You might be wondering how a rhythm game like Ragnarock made it onto our list of the best VR fitness games.

The reason is that, while it may seem like you’re simply tapping runes, but in reality you need to hit them harder and faster. And Trust me when I say, it’s an incredible arm workout

It might take a few songs to get the hang of the game. The difficulty levels can be a bit tricky to navigate.

The normal difficulty might feel too easy for some, while the higher difficulty settings can be quite challenging. But Once you find your sweet spot, the satisfaction of nailing that perfect combo will make it all worthwhile.

And before playing this game JUST TWEAK SOME SETTINGS according to your liking.

8. Smash Drums

Smash Drums - Quest store launch trailer
  • Genre: Action, Arcade, Music & Rhythm
  • Developers: PotamWorks SAS

Next, we have Smash Drums…The game is similar to Ragnarock but what sets this game apart is the different genres of music it features and the spectacular environments and effects.

Smash drums feature more of “Streamline-music” you can say, compared to Ragnarock.

The game has a realistic mode too in which you have to hit the drums slightly or with full force but I’m a fan of barbarian mode in which you just hit the drums and cymbals with full force.

Smash Drums can Make your dream of becoming a DRUMMER come true. It’s a little difficult to play but insanely rewarding to master. And the drumstick tap is super sexy!

Both Smash Drums and Ragnarock are amazing fitness games but only the main difference is

  1. Genre Of Music
  2. The drums arrangements

7. Audio Trip

Audio Trip: Gameplay Teaser - Bangarang, Skrillex
  • Genre: Arcade, Music & Rhythm
  • Developers: Kinemotik Studios

Another amazing VR game that I’m head over heels for is Audio Trip. In my opinion, Audio Trip is one of the most underrated games that more people need to play.

The game features licensed music from popular artists such as Skrillex, Zedd, Lady Gaga, and more, ensuring an exciting and diverse soundtrack.

You can compete with players worldwide on the cross-platform global leaderboards or challenge your friends in Party mode.

While Audio Trip excels in its superb choreography and the feeling of truly dancing in VR, its main setback is the relatively short music catalogue.

This limitation prevented it from receiving a higher position on this list, but it still offers a fantastic and engaging fitness experience.

6. Knockout League

Knockout League | Oculus Quest + Rift Platform
  • Developer: Grab Games
  • Genre: Action, Adventure, Fighting

On the number 6th position of the Best VR Fitness Games, we have placed Knockout League!

Knockout League is an arcade-style boxing game that focuses on fun and fast-paced gameplay, with each opponent having a unique fighting style and special moves to keep you on your toes.

Unlike other boxing VR games that focus on realism, Knockout League VR has a playful and aesthetic style that is charming and appealing.

In terms of fitness, Knockout League VR offers an excellent cardio workout, requiring quick reflexes and movements, making it perfect for people looking for a fun way to stay fit and active.

It is perfect for all ages, including kids, with a difficulty level that is just right. And this game also doesn’t require that much play area, you just need to stay in the middle and you’ll be good to go

So, if you’re looking for a VR fitness game that combines entertaining visuals, boxing, and arcady gameplay then Knockout League is a knockout choice!

5. Synth Riders

Synth Riders [Gameplay Trailer]
  • Genre: Odders Lab
  • Developer: Casual, Music, Sports

Synth Riders is an outstanding rhythm game, However, unlike Audio Trip, Synth Riders overcomes the limitation of a short music catalogue by constantly adding new DLCs.

In Synth Riders, you’ll catch notes, ride rails, and gracefully dodge obstacles, all while grooving to the rhythm. It’s like freestyle dancing meets a heart-pumping workout, and let me tell you, it’s exhilarating.

With over 58 included tracks, Synth Riders offers an extensive selection of music to keep you grooving and it goes above and beyond with DLCs that expand the game even further.

These DLCs introduce visually stunning experiences, extra stages, and an ever-growing library of songs from popular artists like Gorillaz, Bruno Mars, Muse, and many more.

Synth Riders is a must-try for anyone seeking a thrilling and engaging VR fitness experience.

4. Beat Saber

Release Trailer | Beat Saber
  • Genre: Casual, Music & Rhythm
  • Developers: Beat Games

As I’ve delved into the VR fitness scene, it’s impossible not to include this gem in our list and I know that you already know which game I’m talking about; Beat Saber.

In Beat Saber, you become the ultimate rhythmic warrior, armed with two light sabers. Your objective? Slash those incoming beats, represented by cubes, as they come flying towards you.

It’s like dancing with lightsabers, but with an intense cardio twist!

Beat Saber is a whole new level of workout disguised as pure fun. With each swipe and slice, you’ll find yourself engaged in a full-body movement that gets your heart racing and those calories burning.

Beat Saber’s accessibility is another reason why it’s a fan favourite. And Trust me, the satisfaction of nailing those harder sections is beyond amazing!

The popularity of Beat Saber speaks for itself. It has garnered a massive following and has become a staple in the VR gaming community.

It’s a fantastic way to get moving, burn off some steam, and have an absolute blast in the process.

3. PowerBeats VR

PowerBeatsVR (Oculus Quest Release Trailer) - Level Up Yourself... in VR
  • Genre: Health & Fitness, Lifestyle, Sports
  • Developers: Five Mind Creations UG

I’ve made a fair share of workout routines and let’s face it, they can get pretty darn boring. But PowerBeats VR is here to change the game.

PowerBeats VR is a freaking awesome game for your fitness goals. First off, it’s designed to train your entire body.

And the best part? The more you move and the harder you hit, the higher your score climbs. It’s like a fitness party where sweat is the ultimate currency!

The graphics are nothing short of stunning. As you squat, punch, and dodge, the sound of walls whizzing past you adds an extra layer of intensity and excitement

But hey, before you dive headfirst, You’ll need a playspace of at least 2m by 1.5m to really let loose and dominate the game.

Ladies and gentlemen, get ready because its time for the second-best VR fitness game on the market: Pistol Whip!

It’s the ultimate fusion of gun-fu and rhythm

But wait, there’s more! Not only will Pistol Whip get your heart pumping and your arms engaged, but it also offers a perfect leg workout.

Yes, you heard that right. The game will have you dodging, crouching, and strafing your way through the scenes, giving those leg muscles a serious run for their money.

1. The Thrill Of The Fight

The Thrill of the Fight | Oculus Quest + Rift Platform
  • Developers: Sealost Interactive LLC
  • Genre: Fighting, Sports

And finally, lets talk about the Best Fitness VR Game: The Thrill Of The Fight!

The first aspect that stands out in this game is the feeling of throwing punches. The game has a unique physics engine that makes each punch feel realistic and satisfying.

You’ll feel the impact of your punches as they connect with your opponent, and you’ll feel the thrill of victory when you land that knockout punch.

Like its very hard to describe how it feels to knock out an opponent in this game.

I think the thrill of the fight is easily one of the most frustrating VR games but as soon as you knock out your opponent it becomes the most satisfying VR game.

The game requires a decent play area to play. I must tell you that if you don’t have the recommended play area of 6.5 ft by 5 ft then don’t you think of buying this game, because I’m telling you with my experience[I broke my fingers].

In my opinion, this game is not for everyone and especially not for kids. The game is very hard to play although it features easy difficulty. But yeah, I just wanted to point that out.

For only $9.99 you get the ultimate Boxing VR Simulator which is one of the major reasons that it’s a hit among the VR Community.

  1. Hey there! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any trouble with hackers?
My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing a few months of hard work due to
no backup. Do you have any solutions to stop hackers?

  2. I have plenty of games that will warm me up but I must stay that Box VR will kick my ass if I really want it to…so will Beat Saber if you play on expert. I can keep up but my feet start hurting a lot from ballancing and swaying around a lot. But I am getting better and can go for longer now. Anyone with VR needs to get good workout games. I am starting to see my arms in particular tone up a lot and it feels really good.

  3. I’m not that much of a online reader to be honest but your sites really nice, keep it up!
